Assuming English Constituencies:
1987- Alliance
1992- LibDem
1997- LibDem
2001- LibDem
2005- LibDem

No idea about Verily's potential inclinations towards Socttish or Welsh nationalism. Absolutely no idea, how he'd vote in Northern Ireland.

2001 - Conservative
2005 - Conservative

Trying to work without benefit of hindsight

1987 - Conservative
1992 - Conservative
1997 - Labour
2001 - Labour/SNP
2005 - Conservative

The Alliance would probably have got my vote in 1983

Ignoreth me Smiley

No idea about Verily's potential inclinations towards Socttish or Welsh nationalism. Absolutely no idea, how he'd vote in Northern Ireland.

Alliance, of course. If they weren't standing, I'd probably vote UUP or SDLP depending on the candidate's non-nationalism-related views. I might consider the NI Greens, but in 2005 they didn't stand anywhere.

As for Scottish and Welsh nationalism, I'd only vote for a nationalist party over the Lib Dems if the Lib Dems stood no chance of defeating a Conservative or Labour candidate but the nationalists did.

I'd also have voted for the Greens if I lived in Brighton Pavilion, but not in any of the Greens' other strong seats. (Keith Taylor is sensible; the ecosocialists are not.)

I might have considered voting Conservative in 1992.

As for ColinW:

1987 - Alliance
1992 - Conservative
1997 - Labour
2001 - Labour
2005 - Lib Dem

I didn't notice that this was a "how would the previous poster vote" thread. I'll stick with my answer for Josh since he usually jumps all over the place and it's not worth discussing how he might actually vote.

Earl is wrong for thinking that I'd vote Labour in 2005. I remember following the results, wanting the Tories to win as I should (as a conservative). People were so confused about why I wouldn't want Labour. It really makes no sense for me to back Labour just because of Blair's position on Iraq since his party was split on the issue and I don't really agree with them on anything else.

Whoever is next, skip me.
