He clearly wouldn't vote Tory. Ever. Equally he has little to do with the various groups and subgroups in society that make up the bulk of the Labour vote and he isn't a lefty, so that rules Labour out. And while it's pretty clear that he would have been a dedicated Liberal for most of the 20th century, it's difficult to see him viewing most of the post-1970's trends in that party with anything other than alarm. Hard to say about the SDP; either a big supporter or someone who disliked the party as being too shallow.

1987: Alliance 1992: LibDem or a non-voter. 1997: Tactical anti-Tory 2001: ditto or a non-voter. 2005: LibDem
