Pelosi.

It'll be fun to watch her whoop Sheehan's ass. Sheehan is a horrible horrible person.

My prediction would be something like:

Pelosi 75%
Sheehan 15%
Republican 10%

Everyone in San Francisco knows that Sheehan doesn't know crap about politics. Pelosi would hold her seat easily.

Carolyn Mahoney didn't know crap about politics either.

The situations aren't exactly analgous, but people are still suckers for a compelling sob story.

I’d probably vote for the republican, but I’d be hoping Sheehan would do well. I like Pelosi, surprisingly enough, but I fully support private citizens [even crazy’s like Sheehan] taking on the machine.

Sheehan should seek a different House seat, one that is currently held by a Republican.

Pelosi is one of my favorite people in government, so I'd back her against just about anyone.

Now, why would see do that? She'd whore more media attention by 'challenging' Pelosi.

the libertarian. If he's not on the ballot, then the Republican, because they wouldn't get elected.

Pelosi has done a very good job in the House. I'd proudly vote for her.

Pelosi of course, though it'd be kind of cool if Sheehan finishes in 2nd place.

Call me a traditionalist, but I think people should only run in the districts in which they, you know, live.

Agreed, though the Constitution only requires candidates to live in the state from which they are seeking office, not the district itself. As a matter of law this is probably a good idea since it prevents legislatures from gerrymandering a candidate out of his or her preferred district and forcing them to move. If a candidate is a carpetbagger and the voters have a problem with that, they'll reject the candidate on election day. Their opponents are free to make it an issue in the campaign.

I read somewhere that Nancy Pelosi is quite conservative in the eyes of voters in her district. They must have taken an acid trip or something.

As much as I dislike her, I'd vote for Pelosi.

Same here.

Sheehan, as much as I hate her with every bone of my body, I'd be funny to watch the Democratic machine cry and I think it would put a huge dent in them if Pelosi was defeated.

Sheehan would only make Pelosi's district even more of a joke.

Might be fun to watch that!
