I can tell you this much: although I don't plan on running for any political
offices anytime soon, but i do want to make waves. I could form a boring,
run-of-the mill political party, something that slots neatly in between the
Radical Party and the Ron Paul Party, that'll get maybe 2 or 3 members and
last a few months (the FDP did somewhat better, but it had the libertarian sphere almost to itself). Or I could form a fun, off-the-wall party (like the Not-Bricks
or the Lunatic Fringe) that remains a solid 1-man party and completely ignored.
I joined the Birthday Party in hopes for a fun party with actual members, but
it seems they all left...

My intention is far more grand: I want to join together the fun people, the unusual
people, the off-the-beaten-path people into a political movement intended to rock AND
roll Atlasia. I call it !

! (pronounced 'Bang' or 'Emphasis' but spelled '!') is a movement inspired
by the beliefs of Robert Heinlein, Murray Rothbard, Robert Anton Wilson,
Ayn Rand, Aristotle, Malacalypse the Younger, Thomas Jefferson, David Nolan,
Ron Paul, Lou Dobbs, J.R.  Dobbs, Eris, John Adams, Samuel Adams, Abigail Adams,
Adam, Eve, Ben Franklin, and Garfield (the cat or the President? Yes). Of course,
they can all be ignored if you want. They're just on the recommended reading list.

! is intended as a political movement for those who are tired of politics as usual.
What is the overarching goal? Telling busybodies to mind their own business. Or changing
the world advocating your own ideas, trying to ram them down other people's throats.
Or making war upon all your enemies.  Or spreading peace o'er the land. Just BE YOU.
Don't be a drone (unless by doing so gets you some action from the queen).

Well... members should support legal guns, dope, and the right to arm both.
Believing in the right to arm bears is optional, but encouraged. There is also a secret breeding plan connected to certain well-funded families, but you don't have to belong to it (you probably won't be allowed in).

The ! movement does not require membership in a '!' party. Any party that is not-stupid
and wishes to affiliate itself with the ! movement need only put a ! in its name.
For example, the Birthday Party could join ! by calling itself the "Birthday Party!"
or the "Birthday! Party" or the "Brtah Iyt!da Ypr", for that matter. The Democrats
and Republicans do not qualify as 'not-stupid'; maybe they should put a ? and not
a ! in their names - they look like crooks.

Is this a silly idea? Hell yes. But there's a legitimate idea behind the silliness. And a philosophy behind the idea. And silliness behind the philosophy. And a legitimate idea behind THAT silliness. And so on, ad infinitum. And yes, it's a total rip-off. Who cares? Its a party... err.. make that a movement.

Too droll, anyway while I am in the same ideological area as Ron Paul (right-libertarian), i disagree with him on quite a few issues. And the RPP is WAY. WAY too serious.

So I've formed the Crazy R!ght-L!bertarian Party. Its planks:

- The right to bear arms (and arm bears - our army needs more bears!)
- The right to smoke pot, as little or as much as you please
- Foreign Policy: Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb bomb, and bomb 'em some more.
- Cut sugar tariffs, to do otherwise would be corny
- Tax cuts for everyone!
- Brains are good, but not to eat - no zombies, please
- Edumacation is important
- Nuclear power is good....
- Don't buy oil from sheiks, terrorists, or strongmen
- Pay for your own damn healthcare
- Let gays get married, they shouldn't have to live in sin
- No abortions, give the mothers little American flags instead
- More space exploration!
- Hang corrupt politicians
- Young ladies are wonderful and to be encouraged

I've founded Acronymous Alcoholics! (AA!) The party slogan is "Better acronymous than anonymous!"

As far as a platform goes it is still in the works but it will mainly feature calls for more alcoholism and more acronymism. Not to mention acronyms. Thus, we wish to stress that this is not a one-issue party but, at the very least, a two-issue party and we'r ready to add many more to show that we are serious.

I'd like to add that AA! like all good acronyms should be pronounced as a word and not as an abbreviation (like radar and not like VIP).

Since the "Crazy R!ght-L!bertarian Party" is WAY, WAY too droll, it is now known as the "Party Like A Politician!" party, also known as "PLAP!"

That was before I thought I would be part of Disrtrict 5. I now revoke this statement, as I refuse to run against my colleague Ebowed. So consider this announcement null and void unless Ebowed retires or something.
