Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) wins the Democratic nomination after a surprisingly clear victory in the NH and SC primary (polls conducted a week before the primary showed a tight race between Clinton and Obama) and later picks Governor Kathleen Sebelius (D-KS) for VP.

Former Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN) wins the Republican nomination, following a strong showing in the SC and FL primary and later picks Governor Mark Sanford (R-SC) for VP.

What will be the result on Election Day 2008 ? Who do you vote for ? Feel free to post maps Wink

Clinton wins 298 to 240.

Clinton comes close in Nevada, Florida, and Arkansas. She might win them, but for now I say they stay on the republican side.

 Thompson wins Kansas 55-45.

I doubt Clinton is losing NV but winning Colorado. I think if Colorado is like 49-48 for Clinton, NV is like 50-48 for her too ...

BTW: My map would include NV and FL for Clinton, but WV for Thompson.

In this matchup, Hillary Clinton is doomed for choosing another woman to be on her ticket.  Many Americans see it as too drastic of a change.  However, Sanford is a great choice for Thompson as he helps appeal to the libertarian part of the party.  Thompson wins easily on election day:

Yeah I would agree.  If Clinton picked Sebelius, too many American men would say, "why can't we have a man on the ticket?"  Ironic but true.
