Romney'd better win Iowa. And the less states Hillary wins, the better.

What happens if Richardson finishes above Obama in the real caucus in Iowa?

Also, wonder which of the second tier candidates may pull ahead of Giuliani in Iowa.

That's interesting.  I don't Obama would be considerably hurt, Carl.  I think Richardson will continue to rise and when the results come in all 4 candidates will be very close to each other, with the order perhaps Edwards, Richardson, Clinton, Obama.  Then, I think, Obama will win the NH primary, with Clinton, Richardson, and Edwards following (ironically in opposite order as Iowa).

That debate performance gave me heart. Richardson could still be the Democratic nominee.

"The candidate matchups showed that even the top Republican candidates could not beat a Democrat, according to poll data.

If the 2008 presidential election were held today and the race was between Clinton and Giuliani, 41 percent said they would pick Clinton and 37 percent would pick Giuliani.

If Giuliani ran against Edwards, 37 percent of respondents said they pick Giuliani and 43 percent said they would pick Edwards, according to the poll. Thirty-seven percent of respondents was the highest number received by Republican candidates in the matchups, according to the latest poll data.

Edwards and Obama had the highest number of respondents pick them among Democratic candidate matchups.

If the presidential election were held today, 45 percent of respondents said they would choose Obama over Giuliani's 36 percent, with 19 percent undecided. Also, 45 percent of respondents said they would pick Edwards over Romney at 34 percent, with 21 percent undecided.

Edwards also beat out Fred Thompson, with 45 percent of voters saying they would pick him versus 28 percent who would pick Thompson, and 27 percent were undecided."

...

Good to see that Iowa trends towards the Democrats Smiley

Considering little good news has been coming out of my candidate's camp recently.....

w00t

I hope all those who were already ready to bury the Edwards campaign takes note that he is leading in the first place that votes will be cast.  You don't think he'll get a bump from Iowa if he in fact does win?

Don't know about you, but in my book you have to be above 45 to qualify as 'kick ass'

I would qualify that as kicking ass in a 2004 Bush state when the oppenents are in the high 20s to mid 30s.

I agree with Eraserhead. If the Democratic candidates are leading by between 4% and 9% in a state where Bush won by 1% and where all candidates now should enjoy about a 100% name recognition due to their primary visits, a 5-10% swing to the Dems in a state like this should be worrying for the GOP ...
