I learned that me and my crew of extremely drunk scene kids can party it up in some of the most run down parts of Indianapolis without getting in any trouble. I'm now more convinced than ever that crime-ridden urban areas are the way to go.

Oh and that eastern Illinois is hicksville. Seriously.

Anyway to all of you who hate my music, I was just there with 300 people who drove or flew hundreds of miles to go watch 2 days of it, including from Canada and Britain. 12 hours of straight hardcore/emo can be quite tiring though.

I was hoping your signature meant you'd be gone through June of next year.

Emo, tiring?  No.  Hardcore, tiring?  Lord, yes.

Especially with the way you darned kids thrash around nowadays.

I'm referring to emo in the original definition, which is a form of hardcore.

I drank 2 energy drinks, 4 bottles of pop and 4 cans of it that day all for rehydration and energy.

Yeah, but there was no water machine or drinking fountain. I did drink an endless amount out of the bathroom sink though (put my hand below the sink, turned on the water, and slurped it out of my hand)

Probably Ampere. Although the best set was definitely either Coliseum or HeWhoCorrupts. I'll give a mention to Graf Orlock too.

I knew there was a reason why the board seemed better these past few days, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was until now.

Like MODU I didn't even notice you were gone, I knew something was more peaceful about the forum.

Only 300 people, shows that that music sucks if only that many people showed up.

He failed to mention that of the 300, 150 were deaf.

I made a leave of absence post.

300 was about the max the venue could hold. But here's a list of states/provinces/countries I know were represented:

Indiana (obviously)
Minnesota
South Dakota
Illinois
Kentucky
Oklahoma
California
Rhode Island
New Hampshire
Texas
North Carolina
Alberta
Manitoba
Ontario
England

Not counting bands of course. There was also bands from Germany and France too.

So these people drove and flew in those great distances just for this like I did. Pretty awesome. I also at one point was in a room in the hostel with 3 other people, and realized we had citizens of 4 different countries in that room, US, Canada, UK and Guatemala (of course the Guatemala guy currently lives in Chicago). That's cool.

Oh yeah, two of the best things ever:

-Hot girls moshing near you
-Hot girls crowd surfing over you

You Alaskans must not get much live music (unsurprisingly), that's for sure.

I don't go to concerts to begin with. So my knowledge about live music is hampered even with not much live music up here.

Is there any live music in Alaska?

Anyway, moshing is basically a bunch of people in the crowd all pushing into each other.

Yeah, there's some. Mostly local stuff.

Anyway, moshing is basically a bunch of people in the crowd all pushing into each other.

Ow. Sounds painful.

I resent that. We prefer caribou.

Not really. Gets you really sweaty though. After this one set I mentioned to this hot girl I was hanging out next to that she looked like she just took a shower with her clothes on, she said I looked the same way. I saw myself in the mirror in the bathroom, and she was right.

I'm curious as to which communities you checked out in eastern IL. I'm guessing that you took I-74 through Champaign and Danville. I know there's not much hick in Champaign-Urbana with the big university.
