A very sensible article. It made a good point about the difficulty of maintaining a middle class, and the importance of government spending in that direction. It perhaps spends too much time patting Canada on the back; certainly not all of Canada's programs described were important to the maintenance and growth of its middle class. Still, Canada is a good example of an economy that can sustain itself in the midst of globalization.
