found this on another message board.  it was originally posted on craigslist, but has since been removed.

Patient and steady with all he must bear,
Ready to meet every challenge with care,
Easy in manner, yet solid as steel,
Strong in his faith, refreshingly real.
Isn't afraid to propose what is bold,
Doesn't conform to the usual mould,
Eyes that have foresight, for hindsight won't do,
Never backs down when he sees what is true,
Tells it all straight, and means it all too.
Going forward and knowing he's right,
Even when doubted for why he would fight,
Over and over he makes his case clear,
Reaching to touch the ones who won't hear.
Growing in strength he won't be unnerved,
Ever assuring he'll stand by his word.
Wanting the world to join his firm stand,
Bracing for war, but praying for peace,
Using his power so evil will cease,
So much a leader and worthy of trust,
Here stands a man who will do what he must.

For you, States Wink

He's a man of the south
A rebel to be sure
While never last to react
He'll make his opinion quite clear.

He'll call you a yank
And spout line after line
but a joke about Dixie
will set him 'awhine.

Whether about guns
gay marriage, or sex
or even the brown ones
who dine on Tex-Mex

His voice lies not
With Clinton or Kerry
No!  His preference
is rather reactionary.

How cute.  I've always loved cocky immature foreigners who are brave enough to insult us even with their rather poor handle of the english language.  But if America is the pig, then Korea is quite definitely the deer tick.  Annoying and dangerous enough to warrant much attention from us, yet a tasty little morsel for smallest of songbirds.  I guess that would make France the Boxelder bug.

Oh, I need to stop insulting other countries.  There's so much insulting of my own country that needs to be done.  American is most certainly son of a bitch pig.

That was printed in English textbooks in Pakistan last year, and that caused a huge scandal. It's nothing new.

Straha is American, he just has a French avatar.

I really hope that the poem was meant to be ironic in some way...

Exactly. Talk about blowing sunshine, where the sun don't shine Roll Eyes. I refer, of course, to Giuliani's delusional hackery. It was nauseating from beginning to end
