As a pattern that can be seen in 2004, 2006 and 2007, Bush seems to reach his nadir in May and June, rebound slightly thereafter, stabilize in the fall, peak around New Years', then decline again until May or June.

2005 is tainted by Hurricane Katrina (though, aside from a big dip in September and October, it follows the pattern), 2003 is tainted by the beginning of the Iraq War in March (which meant his approvals would be in continual decline for most of the year from a peak in March), 2002 was a period of continual decline due to his immensely high numbers at the beginning of the year, and 2001, of course, only has relevant data through early September.
