Senator Edwards is now viewed favorably by 52%, unfavorably by 42%, about where he stood in late June.
Rudy Giuliani is at 50% favorable, 42% unfavorable for the second survey in a row, representing the ebb of his popularity this year.
After increasing from 36% in March to 48% in June, Fred Thompson's favorable rating has now dropped back down to 35%, and his unfavorable rating has increased to 35%.
