Pretty worrisome. Hopefully this scandal blows over soon. Not that Spitzer's in real danger of losing in 2010 (if he somehow hits that level he'll be primaried) or of flipping the state in 2008 (Can't happen even with Bob Taft numbers), but could give the state GOP a boost. It'd suck to see the GOP gain legislative seats in 2008.

Wow, it's gotten worse since the scandal, not better.  Didn't see that coming.

Bet Cuomo is grinning ear-to-ear.

Spitzer was given the state on a silver platter and now he goes and ruins it with cheap political games. While he can definitely turn things around, he better do it within the next 2 to 3 months so dems can pick up the senate.

In my opinion the man's blowhard attitude is whats hurting him.

Spitzer is continuing to ignore the Troopergate issue, believing that it will go simply go away for some reason or another.  His talks to the press consist of ducking, mainly lines like "Cuomo's report closed the issue", "I'm not talking about it to the press any more", or "We need to talk about health care and campaign finance reform instead".

Moreover, he keeps insisting that his aides fully cooperated with the authorities when it is plainly obvious (from Cuomo's own report even!) that they have not cooperated with the authorities on hardly anything.

What scandal?Huh?

Is this an actual scandal, or just sour grapes from the Republican media (which is mad because they lost)?

Eliot Spitzer is a good man and an excellent governor. Here's hoping that this partisan witchhunt is ended soon, so we can get back to tackling real issues that matter to working families.

I read about it, and it looks like the whole thing is a big Republican witch hunt resulting from his anti-payola investigation.

No it's because he had the State Police of New York keep tabs on the Republican Majority Leader of the NY State Senate.

You know, it's bad enough I have to hear this from hack millionaire Democratic friends of mine, it's even worse when I have to read it from hack red avatars on this forum.

I don't mind reading it once, but how's about just posting under your other account, Ebowed?  That way I don't have to read your comments twice on this forum.
