Another great update!  You are one of, if not the best What-If writers on this forum.  I hope this continues for a long time to come.  I really liked the compromise bill.  I hope Crocket can be even more important in this TL.

I hope George Armstrong Custer and Benjamin Harrison are generals in this TL.  (Without  the Civil War, the Indians probably would'nt have fought as hard, thus Custer would not have been killed earlier in the TL.  They would'nt have fought as hard because they would'nt have thought the U.S. was as weak as they did in reality due to the fact that they were not fighting eachother.)

I'm hoping there will be overseas expansion before long.  After all the Monarchy is more expansive than our democracy.  States of Belize and Jamaica anyone? :-D

Dakota seems kinda awkward, I'd recommend dividing it into two seperate states to make it look better.
