I'm just saying without explaining it Walter has basically done a complete 180 on his view on what Ohio politics are like.

i think any of the democrat candidates would be likely to carry ohio, without strickland on the ticket.  strickland would seal the deal.

although ive said many times that the democrats should concentrate on the southwest.

to winfield, no i dont think dodd will be considered for the veep slot by any of the leading democrats.  he doesnt add much diversity to the ticket in terms of geography, ideology, sex or race.

the best dodd can hope for is a top tier cabinet appointment in a democrat administration.

I'm not disagree with any of this, but it greatly contradicts what you said about Ohio and Strickland and populism in the past. So are you basically admitting what you thought back then was completely wrong?

im saying that as of right now strickland seems to be a pretty popular governor.

in case youve forgotten, there is a very unpopular war going on that is dragging down anyone with a (r) next to their name.

Well then Ohio must like his populist politics right?

in case youve forgotten, there is a very unpopular war going on that is dragging down anyone with a (r) next to their name.

True, but that has nothing to do with Ohio's populism.

I don't know much about his record so far. But are you still claiming that Ohio hates populism?

As Al pointed out before, a Democrat doesn't need to win the Columbus and Cincinnati suburban areas you always cite to win the state. Brown didn't and he still won by double digits. He basically won all the populist areas. Sounds like populism does work in Ohio.

Dodd no longer has a bid on InTrade. There's nothing wrong with Dodd, there are just better alternatives.
