See this link, where it analyses how the straw poll candidates did compared with expectations. It states that Huckabee and Paul were the real winners, as they had the most improvement over their expectations.

I definitely Huckabee has a chance, and a realistic one, to win the GOP nomination.

This guy's analysis is so bad it's almost not worthy of comment.

Losers have been claiming to be winners since time began.

Paul is going absolutely nowhere.

Huckabee could be a viable Vice Presidential choice for Romney.

Huckabee is the real winner, in that he saw the largest gain in his chances of becoming the nominee (from 0% to maybe, like, 3%).

Paul didn't win anything.  Mostly because there's no chance in hell he'll be the GOP nominee.

Romney did just fine: according to Tradesports, his odds of winning the GOP nomination have steadily climbed since Ames.

I like Paul as much as the next guy but how did he beat expectations here? He came in 5th place when a lot of people thought he'd come in at second or third. I will agree that Huckabee was the big winner here though, not Romney. (who also fell below expectations).
