Democrats
Mark Warner - Would likely be battling with John Edwards for the position of #3 candidate.  In my book he'd be the odds on favorite in any "stop Hillary" campaign.

John Kerry - Assuming he'd still have the staff, national connections, money, and experience from being through this once before he'd be jockeying with Hillary and Barack for the top spot.  Additionally Edwards would be pushed aside to being a lower tiered candidate perhaps allowing Dodd, Biden, or Richardson to be more prominent.

Evan Bayh - No strong impact.  He'd be at Dodd/Richardson/Biden level.

Republicans
Dick Cheney - Republican frontrunner.  Seriously.  In post-1900 American politics there have only been 2 sitting VP's who pursued their party's nomination and didn't get it.  It would be interesting though in that the running Republicans (aside from Ron Paul) would have to change their messages.  I also think Fred Thompson wouldn't run if Cheney was in the race.

Rick Santorum - He would have all the support of Sam Brownback plus some.  He'd represent all the core values of the current GOP, but would suffer from the stigma of having recently lost a Senate election.  In a lot of ways he's the Republican version of Al Gore.

George Allen - Third tier candidate not making a significant impact.
