Lief and Jomy, there are those who don't favor marrying someone with a different god, different native language, a different diet, and different skin color.  and there are valid, supportable, logical, intelligent reasons that they'd make that claim.  I can tell you beyond any reasonable doubt that when you marry a person with a different god, a different native language, a different diet, and a different skin color, you will encounter problems.  You may very well overcome them.  But don't go into any mixed marriage blindly and don't go into it without a firm foundation of love, respect, and a knowledge that it is statistically more likely to fail than a more homogenous marriage.

Frankly, I'm convinced that the benefit to offspring that genetic and social diversity brings, as evidenced by experiments with all manner of mammals and other animals, outweigh any perceived social and/or genetic disadvantages of mixed marriages.  But I don't think we would be justified in making any claims of moral superiority over anyone who doesn't reach the same conclusions that we do.

Well, let's take a look at some choice problems with your ideology.

You oppose Abraham Lincoln for suspending habeas corprus and imprisoning those who disagreed with his policies.  Well, fair enough.  But you strongly support George W. Bush's spying on citizens without a warrant, or use of secret military trials where information obtained from torture is admissable from evidence?  Why this contradiction?  Well, it's fairly common knowledge that you oppose what Lincoln was fighting for, because the beloved Confederacy should have stuck around over its support of slavery. On the other hand, if Bush is going to be bombing some of those terrorists in Iraq, to launch an eventual campaign to nuke Iran, that's just peachy with you.  Let him do whatever he needs to win this struggle!  Cancel the 2008 elections already!
