Listen, guys.  When Europe lectures others on the subject of human rights abuses, y'all better listen.  They're a true paragon of virtue in this regard.

by that logic, we're all slaveowners

Its not "snobbish" when its perfectly justified. Europe is a dying civilization and is corrupt and decadent. Let's see... demographic replacement of the locals? Check. Corrupt and venal governments which are undemocratic in nature?(Anyone who thinks the post-WWII/post-60s left consensus is maintained by fully free elections is nuts. Look at what they do when a populist party/candidate emerges) Check. Lack of locals breeding? Check.

The EU demands abolition?

Well, now that's a bit of a problem.  See, word has it that the Britons have already thrown off the yoke of the EU.  And if those philosophers and boy-lovers can find that kind of courage...and, of course, we Texans have our reputation to consider.

Last time I checked we are still in the EU and our PM has again said no to a referendum on the EU constitution. So we've thrown off nothing Smiley And please, don't throw metaphorical eggs at the British.

I was just using a line from the movie 300, so don't get up in arms

Perhaps those societies that committed the worst atrocities in human history and which have since repented are in an unusually good position to comment on human rights abuses.

you seem ignore the invasion of China by Japan. And holocaust was done by nazis, not by all european or german society.

EU doesn't demand abolition. It's just EU bureaucracy. Please don't forget.

For atrocities, concurence is strong.
