I need skyscrapers. I feel insecure knowing that the closest safeway is 10 miles away...

I actually prefer something in between the city and country, nice suburban area with pools, white picket fences, golf courses, malls, chain restaurants, etc, etc....

But if I had to choose between City and Country, it would be Country for sure.

Beach resort.  But seriously, I grew up in the country and pretty much can't stand it.  So boring!

MarkDel, do you live in the South Western area of Florida near the coast with the Gulf of Mexico?

According to an article I read it is rich in "manicured golf courses" and is the Republican hearland of the state.

oh, i really dont know.

i believe some of you take politics a tad too seriously.  i would never take politics into acount when deciding when and where to relocate.

it's no secret that i dislike suburbs and most people living in suburbs.  however, the white, elitists liberals who are so fond of cities arent living in section 8 housing infested with drugs and gang violence.  they dont sleep on the floor at night in fear of a renegade bullet coming through their walls.

no, instead they sip $12 tall lattes in manhattan.  those people are just as annoying to me as suburban 'environmentalist' soccer moms who drive suvs and try to keep up with the joneses.

my friend moved from the rather safe city of Duluth to the go to the University of Minnesota. He dropped out after one semester but decided to stay in the city. To get cheap housing, his apartment is on the notriously crime infested north side. He says he can usually hear gun shots at least once a week. He doesn't care anymore. It used to freak him out but he's used to it. So what's he then?

Also remember, I'm the one who said I'd rather live in Camden than suburbia.
