In this nation everything should be in English only except for some emergency services.

Obviously that would include this. I don't know if Quebec has any type of law that all movies shown in theaters must be in French although I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

I do know though that DWTL's hero is some mayor who is saying that advertising in Spanish should be banned, so this wouldn't be too far off from that.

Kevin's post is epic failure. Banning foreign films with no english dubbing violates the first amendment in so many different ways...

I wouldn't object to possibly requiring that DVD's offer optional subtitles in a country's official language, but frankly I can't see why the marketplace shouldn't be left to decide that issue.

I'd be surprised if there are any DVDs in widespread sale in the US that don't have English subtitles.
