Yep, he's done.  This isn't even personal approval; it's job approval.  He's toast.

The real question is who will Governor Otter appoint? My guess is Jim Risch.

Which means that 54% of Republicans aren't with him.

Agreed. Unless Risch doesn't want it in which case he'll look toward the House delegation.

Meaning it'll be Mike Simpson because Bill Sali is, well, Bill Sali.

The Idaho Statesman had done an investigation into whether Craig was gay or not (before all this I suppose).

Wow, that's unexpected.

I'm guessing there are no Idaho posters around who can explain this sudden and dramatic drop in approval.

There is one Idaho poster I know of that has a Green Party avatar. Would love her opinion of this. Cheesy

Craig was Romney's Senate co-chair of his presidential campaign.

Would anyone really be shocked if it turns out Romney was taking part in these bathroom activities too?

And don't forget the gay Democrat with the username 'Immy'.  I haven't seen him on these boards for more than a year, though.

Are you joking, or are you seriously unaware of his scandal?? lol

Anyway, I do think there is some Green from Idaho that has like 10 posts and shows up once a month. From Couer d'Alene or around there if I remember correctly. Other than that, I'm probably  the closest to Idaho... Sad

I looked on Wikipedia and it said that he pleaded guilty on August 8. Did this just becme public three weeks later, or was the MSM too busy covering the Vitter scandal?

He pled guilty to a lesser-class misdemeanor in Minnesota.  He's hardly the most recognizable Senator too.  If the arresting officer kept his mouth shut, it's possible no one else involved recognized him (or they kept their mouths shut too).  It's not as if people are regularly searching trial records for U.S. Senators, especially a name as relatively common as Larry Craig (there are ten registered voters by that name in Washington alone).

Unless he came public about it, it's not altogether surprising it was buried for a little while.
