Breaking News on CNN. This can't be good news for the GOP. I hope he doesn't go away.

Still money down the drain. But if he doesn't step aside, it looks like Sali and Otter who were supporting him the other day might still be behind him there.

Possibly.  Though I wouldn't expect the GOP to support his candidacy were he to run again (and I suspect the GOP voters wouldn't support him either).  Even though this is Idaho.

Though I will admit - legally Specter is right, and Craig can fight this.  The GOP Senate will obviously not be happy.

Should be amusing.

ing yes! Craig better [not resign and] spend the next few months repairing relations with the state GOP and 51% of Republican voters. Who the hell do we have there? Jerry Brady?

EDIT by Sam Spade:  I know it's cute to get the profanity by, but I've got to do my duty...

For all the belly-aching 'fern and Co. are showing with the Democratic congress, it doesn't look as if there won't be a landslide Dem victory in '08.

Actually I think the obvious candidate here would be Pedro.  He has more experience as a candidate.  Vote for Pedro!

Oh man, I hope this is true. It'll be a complete circus until the primary, and the fight there should be brutal. We can only hope Craig manages to pull through!

I think he realized that resigning would mean that he's basically admitting that he's gay.

Amazing. Sadly he'll get a first rate primary challenger supported by congressional Republicans. Which means the seat will remain Republican. Now... being primaried against Washington's will by a Helen Chenoweth type... that'd really set the cat among the pigeons.

It's amazing how deeply in denial Larry Craig really is. I wonder if his wife is buying all of his denial?
