Well, Sydneysiders hate it, but the leaders of the Asia-Pacific region love it-there's nothing quite as comfortable as a kimono.

ANyway, it's underway, so any thoughts or discussions?

Things of note: Sydneysiders really do seem to hate it. At least they're getting a public holiday out of it.

Howard will propose 'aspirational' rather than binding environmental goals

There is a massive fence blocking off half of Sydney's CBD and majorly affecting tourism as well as commerce and transportation

The national costume will be kinda lame this year. They've already said thongs and boardshorts are out, so my guess is a drizabone with an akubra.

I'm sooo glad it's not in Melbourne. In your face Sydneysiders. I've heard that the Sydney police have called off a massive protest against President Bush on Saturday, because they were affraid a massive amount of people would embark on the city.

I said Drizabone ages ago.

Given Bush's disapproval ratings in Australia... I can only imagine. But I do worry as to whether all the emphasis on security isn't only encouraging people to test it.

They better step up security today at APEC after a few members of the Chasers War on Everything got threw 2 security points. They came within metres of President George W. Bush's hotel room. The Security forces at APEC only realised something was strange when Chas, got out of the motorcade dressed as Osama bin Laden.
