Hi Josh! I posted some days ago that it would be fun to see you competing against Verin.
I would like to see how I fare against you also, since I'm way more right wing than you on economic issues, and way more left on social issues - but I haven't given King my profile yet, if he's still doing that.

here are the questions if any one needs them
Party:Rep or Dem
First Name:
Last Name:This will be your nickname unless your first name is your nickname then well feel free to make up a last name
Home State
Now choose your attributes(you only get to use 25 points)
Leadership 1-5
Charisma 1-5
Integrity 1-5
Stamina 1-5
Experience 1-5
Debating 1-5
Issue Knowledge 1-5
The VP bonus you get(choose an attribute to increase except for Debating or Stamina) and your VP's home state
Now choose your platform the first answer to all of these is the Left stance followed by the Center-Left stance then the centerist stance, then the center right stance, then the right stance.
//Abortion
Unrestricted access to abortions.
Legal abortions in the first two trimesters for the mother's health.
Legal abortions in the first trimester for the mother's health.
No legal abortions, except to save the mother's life or rape.
No legal abortions.
@
//Affirmative Action
Make all federal agencies follow strict quotas.
Diversity is a compelling reason for affirmative action.
The benefits of diversity can justify affirmative action.
Affirmative action programs only in certain cases.
Abolish all federal affirmative action programs.
@
//Balanced Budget
A deficit is fine - focus on social programs.
Military spending is more important than the deficit.
Balance lowering the deficit with other priorities.
A Balanced Budget amendment to eliminate the deficit.
Eliminate all national debt as quickly as possible.
@
//Business Tax
Significantly increase business taxation.
Increase business taxation.
Businesses are taxed the right amount.
Reduce business taxation.
Significantly reduce business taxation.
@
//Campaign Finance Reform
Elections are rigged for the two parties - we need major reform!
We need to significantly reduce corporate donations.
We need to put more power into smaller donors' hands.
The McCain/Feingold bill is sufficient.
No campaign finance reform is needed.
@
//Ecology
The environment must be our first national priority.
Good environmental policies are good economic policies.
Balance environmental policies with sound economic policies.
Economic policies must come before environmental policies.
The environment is fine, we don't need to worry about it.
@
//Education
No school vouchers, large increase to federal funding.
No school vouchers, increase federal funding.
Lower-income school vouchers, increase federal funding.
School vouchers for lower-income students.
School vouchers for anyone.
@
//Free Trade
We need to erect large tariff barriers to protect all our industries.
Some industries need to be protected.
Open markets should be approached with caution.
Most markets should be open.
All markets should be open!
@
//Gun Control
Ban all guns!
Ban certain guns, and require registration/background checks.
Guns control is a state issue.
We should be very wary of gun control.
Gun ownership is constitutionally protected - no gun control!
@
//Same-Sex Marriage
Same-sex marriage is a constitutional right.
Same-sex marriage, even if not in name.
Retain marriage as it is, but explore civil unions.
Marriage is between a man and a woman.
Homosexuals need to be treated for their condition.
@
//Immigration
Immigration is great, illegal immigrants granted amnesty.
Legal immigration is great.
Legal immigration is fine, but immigration laws must be obeyed.
Reduce legal immigration, crack down on illegal immigration.
Immigration is destroying the country, stop all immigration now!
@
//Military Funding
Drastically cut military funding, establish a Department of Peace.
We should decrease military funding.
Keep military budget the same, look to be more efficient.
Increase the military budget, but find ways to be more efficient.
We need to significantly increase military funding to meet new threats.
@
//Military Intervention
Military intervention is another way of saying 'empire building'.
For humanitarian causes or if we are attacked.
Only if we are attacked.
Only if our national interests are threatened.
We can and should use our military might to further our own interests.
@
//Personal Tax
Increase income tax for everyone.
Increase income tax for the rich.
Reduce income tax for lower- and middle-class tax brackets.
Reduce income tax across the board.
Reduce income tax for the rich.
@
//Public Health Care
We need a completely public health care system.
Universal health care, whether public or private.
Public health care benefits for the poor and elderly, the rest private.
Only a few public health care benefits.
The health care system should be completely private.
@
//Renewable Energy
Renewable energy all the way!
We should focus on renewable energy sources.
Renewable and non-renewable energy must be equally researched.
Coal and oil are our main concerns right now.
We don't need to worry about renewable energy sources.
@
//Social Security
No to any private investment, dramatically increase funding.
No to private investment, increase funding.
Keep social security as it is.
Let workers privately invest some of their social security payments.
Let workers privately invest all social security payments.
@
//Terrorism
We should surrender to the terrorists.
We need to fight the cause of terrorism, economic and social injustice.
Focus on better foreign policy, but use military force if we must.
We should not hesitate to use military force against terrorism.
Terrorism can only be stopped one way: military force.

Clinton 37%, 218
Perot 32%, 189
Bush 30%, 131
hmmm, the map won't load, but the House elected Clinton

Maybe. It's the election Tuesday. I'm running ads in every state
(also, if I hadn't done this I probably would win anyway, as no states are tossups and I have an EV lead)
However, to make it more fair, I turned Dynamism off.
Also, the race was
really
close. You managed to make California a tossup, and give me a scare in states like Illinois (+3 Craddock after 1 week! But now it's +5 ILV *whew*), Massachusetts (lean ILV once!
).
But I particularly liked West Virginia, which was +9 Craddock once but then jumped to
+17
ILV
Erm, anyway, now to press end turn. I'll still have the window open in case you want any more states.

Who's winning Iowa?
Craddock did
I'm sure it's because you were one of the foot soldiers
Best States:
Craddock: Idaho (68.4%)
ILV: Massachusetts (63.8%) (and in DC I got 85.1%)
States of Note:
Craddock Homestate: North Carolina (Craddock-50.9%) (also closest state)
Craddock VP Homestate: Florida (Craddock-56.7%)
ILV Homestate: Indiana (Craddock-52.7%)
ILV VP Homestate: Minnesota (ILV- 60.7%... they really loved my anti-Craddock Education ad
)
Only state to switch because of my last day ad blitz:
Virginia (ILV-53.8%)
And closer states because of it:
NC (Craddock-50.9%), TX (Craddock-51.2%), IN (Craddock-52.7%), GA (Craddock-55.5%), KS (Craddock-55.8%), SC (Craddock-56.4%), FL (Craddock-56.7%)

See, I told you that was going to be a very interesting election. It was relatively close 294-244.
Why you lost Michigan?
Who was your VP?

One of the weirdest maps I've had, lol. Powell/Rice v Kerry/Edwards.
I lost NY in the final days...
I won CA 57-42, IL 55-44 and HI 53-46. I also got 44% in MA and 48% in RI. Disappoinigly I lost most of the close states: MI, AR, MN, IA, VT...I did win NC 50-49 and CT 51-48 though.
Total PV was 54-46 to Powell.
