Clinton's one weakness is how completely defined she is as a strong liberal.

Wait... 76% believe Clinton has made that claim? What kind of media, exactly, do you have over there?
(Now... if 76% believe she *wants to* do that... they might well be right.)

It's not Democrats; they just happened to be the people surveyed here.  It's a well-known scientific fact that everyone is, in fact, a moron.

Clinton's one weakness is how completely defined she is as a strong liberal.

once the media has a set image of you, it's almost impossible to shake that image. Therefore no matter how far to the center Hillary moves she'll always be a radical leftist. No matter how far to the left John Edwards moves, he'll always be a moderate southerner. No matter how many annoying personality traits or fake mannerisms he has or no matter how many times it's proven that he lied or at least seriously stretched the truth, George W Bush will still be a straight-shootin'  good ol' cowboy from Texas.

Hopefully, and I'm being optimistic here, this is just because no one is paying attention yet, as the real campaign only started a few days ago after Labor Day.

More evidence that Democratic primary voters think Clinton may be the most anti-war of the leading Dem. candidates:

Notice how she even has a big lead on this question in Iowa, where she's not leading by that much in the horserace.  Now, granted, "best at ending the war in Iraq" could just mean that people think all the Dems are against the war, but Clinton has superior skills at international diplomacy, and so it will be easier for her to get the troops out without as many negative consequences....but still, this is rather remarkable.

I think your first thought was the correct one. I think people think Clinton would be the best equipped to manage a withdrawral - it doesn't ask who they thought was the most "against" the war.

Yeah but other polls have and they have shown that more Dems think Clinton is against the war than Obama or Edwards which is beyond sad frankly... but what do you expect from the party that nominated John Kerry for President.

Here's a writeup on that poll showing primary voters thinking Clinton would be "best at ending the war".  The respondents are incredibly vague about why they choose Clinton:

This is why I have occasionally had thoughts about leaving the party lately.

How the hell does Hillary manage to pull this sh**t off? Say what you will about her politics, but damn, she's a gifted politician. Absolutely superb at the art of manipulating stupid people.

Pretty funny considering that she's actually a conviction-less triangulating, cold-blooded opportunist. While I normally don't agree with Giuliani, I give him credit for pointing out that Hillary's only experience as an executive was her tenure as President of the Wellesley Republicans.
