Libertarian on everything except guns, though I don't think I'd care very much if most of these went one way or the other.

Guns - Libertarian
Gambling - Middle of the road
Alcohol sales restrictions - Middle of the road, clerks in liquor stores don't enforce the "If you look 25, we need your ID" rule enough. Don't believe in high taxation of alcohol though, alcoholics will drink no matter what the price is, and people just make their own if it's too expensive.
Tobacco - libertarian, my country has gone WAY too far with the plain packaging laws. Instead, let tobacco be sold in tobacconists and liquor stores.
Smoking in public - Let pubs make up their own mind.
Tobacco advertising - libertarian, no one is forcing anyone to buy it, although I don't approve of kid-friendly tobacco advertising like Joe Camel.
Strip clubs - Authoritarian
Fashion industry (in relation to eating disorders) - Authoritarian
Fashion industry (in relation to "morality") - Relatively authoritarian.
Pornography - authoritarian
Prostitution - authoritarian
Fast food - libertarian
Pop sales in high schools - Lean authoritarian, especially towards energy drinks. Kids just drink them before and after school anyway, so why add to their energy rushes? Have no issue with selling soda as a fundraiser or part of a sausage sizzle though.
School uniforms - Relatively authoritarian, support ties and blazers.
Marketing to minors - Libertarian, it's the parents' job to raise children, not the government's, this being said, commercials for alcohol/adult products obviously shouldn't be on during kids shows.
Violence in the media - Video game violence doesn't bother me, but realistic looking violence does. Lean authoritarian, although wouldn't go as far as butchering movies/games/TV shows.
Sex in the media - Authoritarian, again I wouldn't go as far as the government butchering movies/games/TV shows.
Profanity in the media - Same as *** in the media.
Suburban development - Centrist/don't know enough about the issue

Pro-Life, against Gay Marriage (but oppose federal ban or federal amendment), against Prostitution, against Marijuana Legalization, and am Anti-illegal immigration.

Only one of those issues were on that template, Prostitution.

Guns - Authoritarian (though somewhat pro-states' rights*)
Gambling - Lean Libertarian
Alcohol sales restrictions - Libertarian (eliminate drinking age, age of majority sufficient for purchase)
Tobacco - Neutral (though supportive of very high taxation)
Smoking in public - Extremely Authoritarian (no exceptions whatsoever)
Tobacco advertising - Authoritarian
Strip clubs - Libertarian
Fashion industry (in relation to eating disorders) - Neutral/Lean Authoritarian
Fashion industry (in relation to "morality") - Very Libertarian
Pornography - Libertarian
Prostitution - Libertarian
Fast food - Libertarian (very supportive of strict mandatory nutrition/calorie labels, especially on menus)
Soda sales in high schools - Neutral (very libertarian when it comes to diet/sugar-free**)
School uniforms - Neutral (all or nothing on the issue, not supportive of arbitrary dress-codes)
Marketing to minors - Libertarian (insofar that the product/service is legal for minors)
Violence in the media - Libertarian
Sex in the media - Very Libertarian (either don't watch it or use parental controls)
Profanity in the media - Extremely Libertarian (see above - FCC v. Pacifica should be overturned)
Suburban development  - Neutral (I would need more information)

*While I do think there should be national standards on the gun issue, I think individual states and lower jurisdictions should make their own decisions for the most part. In other words, I think New York City and Chicago should be able to make different decisions with guns in contrast with Montana or West Virginia. For example, I do think Chicago should able to ban the possession of handguns. DC v. Heller and its progeny should be overturned with haste.

**I do find it quite annoying when people declare war on soda as the cure-all for the obesity problem in this country. The truth is that most fruit drinks that tend to placed on pedestals above soda are really no better and are actually worse than diet options. I would support the elimination of anything with High-Fructose Corn Syrup at minimum. Zero calorie drinks should be exempt from restrictions.

I suppose I have, haven't I? It's interesting that my general philosophy on politics and life in general hasn't changed much, I've just shifted to deeper rather than broader thought. The more things you really take time to think about rather than react to, the more understanding you are afforded. Quality over quantity...funny how that always seems to works out. Tongue
