I would like to propose an amendment:

That the entirety of this bill be replaced with the following text:

Article II, Section 1, Clause 6 (State of the Forum Address requirement) of the Constitution of Atlasia shall be amended to read as follows:

The President shall from time to time give to the Senate Information of the State of the Forum, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.

Makes the State of the Forum requirement optional, but doesn't eliminate it entirely.  This is similar to the American wording.

I would approve of Sam's version, but not of the original version.

The amendment is so adopted.

The new text is therefore as follows:
Article II, Section 1, Clause 6 (State of the Forum Address requirement) of the Constitution of Atlasia shall be amended to read as follows:

The President shall from time to time give to the Senate Information of the State of the Forum, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.

I would like to propose the following additional amendment;

Section 2: The President may choose to delegate responsibility for the delivery of the address to the Vice President.

In case I am not around for the vote, I would like to declare my intent to vote "Aye" on final passage so long as no additional amendments are proposed beyond that currently being considered "friendly."

(If forced to vote on the friendly amendment, I "abstain.")

I'm proud to cast the deciding vote on this one: Aye.

Possibly a deciding vote, but not the deciding vote, I'm afraid...

Tally on Final Vote
Aye: 6 (Sam; afleitch; Brandon; Verily; Moderate; Lewis)
Nay: 2 (Ebowed; Earl)
Yet to Vote: 2 (Al; Rob)

7 Aye votes are needed to send this Amendment ot the regions for their consideration.
