1998--Geoffrey Fieger; there were only two candidates on the ballot, so had to go for the lesser of the two evils

I cant believe we actually nominated him. I'd rather we nominated the person who he was representing (Jack Kavorkian) than that idiot.

2002 Democratic Primary: John Baldacci (unopposed)
2002 General: John Baldacci (D), defeated Peter Cianchette (R) and two others on the ballot
2006 Democratic Primary: John Baldacci; defeated Christopher Miller in the first on the ballot primary challenge to an incumbent in a top-ticket race in Maine since the 1982 Democratic Gubernatorial Primary I believe
2006 General: Chandler Woodcock (R), finished 2nd to John Baldacci (D)

2002: Spear Lancaster (L-MD).

moved to Virginia in 2006, so I haven't had another gubernatorial election to vote in.

Will be voting for the first time at the provincial level on the tenth.  We had a student vote last time in 2003, when high school students all over the province voted to see how their results would be. I voted for Dalton McGuinty (Liberal), and had it counted I would have regretted it.

Anyone else have student mock elections?

In 2006 I cast my ballot for Jim Nussle (R). However, Governor Culver has not been as bad as I thought he'd be. Besides his unwaranted hike of the cigarette tax (which is really helping Missouri's economy), Culver's been a pretty good governor.

Also, no one should actually think big old Chet Culver will run for president. He has a, as President Bartlett said in the West Wing, ".22 caliber mind in a .357 Magnum world." Don't get me wrong, I've met Governor Culver many times, and he's one of the friendliest guys in the world. He even realizes his wife is the smart one of the two. Smiley
