Well, daily drinkers would probably include a lot of rural white males, for one. Especially Southerners.

Alcoholics are probably going to tend to include a lot of extremists on both ends of the political spectrum. People who tend to be moderate are probably moderate in more things than just politics.

Are you accounting for people who don't vote with the percentages not adding up to 100%? Because in that case the percentage would be WAY higher, but it's percentage is way too high if it means third parties.
