New Hampshire U.S. Senate candidate Katrina Swett (D) "will announce she is ending her campaign on Friday to support former Governor Jeanne Shaheen's newly formed bid to defeat freshman Republican Senator John E. Sununu," James Pindell reports.
Portsmouth Mayor Steve Marchand, who had said he would drop out if Shaheen entered the race, ended his campaign last week. Dartmouth professor and former astronaut Jay Buckey remains in the race.
