This TL RFK is definitely not the compassionate Great Society Bobby Kennedy of OTL.

So the Democrats ITTL have their most loyal supporters from Irish-Roman Catholics and Southerners, and the GOP has the solid support of blacks, hispanics, Jews and Yankee (upper New England) Protestants. And the midwest appears to be the swing region.

Keep up the great work. I am looking forward to 1971-1972 and the next Presidential election.

Since Reggie Jackson never played baseball and is elected mayor of Philadelphia ITTL, how successful were the Oakland A's?

Was Jack Kemp born ITTL? If so, I assume his tax cutting views would make him a Democrat.

The RFK/JFK ticket wins in 1980.

I hope Reggie is elected Governor of PA in 1986 and President in 1992.

Great TL covering 1988.

This brings to mind a few interesting events that occurred IOTL during 1989-1992:
1. Keating scandal
2. Congressman Donald Lukens resigns due to a sex scandal (with a minor)
3. Dan Quayle misspells the word "potato"
4. Dan Quayle's Murphy Brown speech
5. Senator Ted Kennedy's reported drunken sex romps and re-marriage
6. Paula Jones is invited to a hotel room in Little Rock
7. Senator John Heinz killed in a plane crash
8. Rick Santorum elected to Congress in 1990
9. David Souter and Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court
10. David Dinkins elected Mayor of NYC

I am looking forward to 1989-1992.

In your 1989 posts, you mentioned that Judd Gregg turned down the job of House Minority Leader so that he could run for Governor of New Hampshire in 1990.

Did he win that race?

It's back home to Arizona, John McCain. No Presidency for you.

PBrunsel,

That picture looks like Alex Rodriguez, not Reggie Jackson.

I googled pictures of Reggie Jackson. I found a few of Reggie wearing street clothes. Just click the following:

Fidel Castro is MLB Commissioner. I hope he prevents baseball from going on strike.

Since George W. Bush and Jodi Rell are Senators from Connecticut, what is Joe Lieberman doing in TTL?

PBrunsel, I have one question since you are the creator and the god of this timeline, can you give me a glimpse of the future, If that is too much to ask don't tell me, it is ok. I simply want to know if Kay Bailey won her re-election bid.

NIK,

President Hutchinson first term is much like President George W. Bush's second term in RL. There is an economic crisis, a terrible tsunami like hurricane devistates the Pacific Coast and the Middle East once again explodes as the dogs of war bark in Iran and the Second Iran-Iraq War begins in 2010.

In the 2012 Election, Senator Barack Obama (Republican of Illonois) and Governor Jim Douglas (Republican of Vermont) defeat President Hutchinson and Vice-President Thompson in a landlside, making President Obama the second African-American president of the United States. The 2012 Election is marked by Obama winning many traditional Democratic states like Goergia, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Arkansas, Missouri and Kentucky.

A black Republican breaks the Democratic party's hold on the Solid South.
