Your map looks pretty reasonable. Taft may have been too conservative to win in 1952, though, and he may have been so outshone in the campaign by Stevenson that the latter could have pulled out a close win.

An interesting sidelight of your scenario is that, if it had happened, the chances are good that Earl Warren would never have been named to the Supreme Court.
