I don't really see all the fuss over Halo. Then again, The last shooter I played was the first No One Lives Forever, so maybe I don't have room to judge. I don't have any of the next gen consoles either, but I may get a PS3 somewhere down the line. For now my computer is sufficient.

I wholeheartedly agree with Gabu. It's a good game, but nothing amazing.

I just walked into the Wal*Mart in Starkville and they had a bunch of copies of Halo 3 sitting around.  I bought one.  I don't know if this is the case everywhere, or just areas where a larger than average % of the population is morally opposed to such games, but the whole idea of reserving a copy being necessary was completely false.

People actually skipped school? I've never heard of that in the US before. Well granted I did skip class over GTA: Vice City, but I was a college freshman and it was only one class. High school is different because there's actually consequences there (truancy).

Actually I once also called in sick to work over a video game too. Guess which one. Hint: PS2 game in a series made by Namco.

I bought it.  The local best buy offered it plus any other xbox title for 10% off...and I decided to go for fight night 3.

It is ALWAYS false when it comes to video games. You can always find a new game you are looking for somewhere.

I've got a friend who's preordered it; sometime in the next few weeks four of us will devote a whole day or so and play through it.

This was done; it was awesome.
