Which is actually what I did (in odd terminology).

The vote on the legislation is 3 in favor, 2 against, 1 abstention and 4 not voting (Brandon H, Al, Rob and afleitch)

With Al having left the Senate, A Senator now has 72 hours to assume sponsorship of this legislation.  The Article 4, Section 1, Clause 8 is purposely unclear when this rule ends, even during a final vote, because the legislation may be vetoed.

Sponsorship will take effect until 20 hours from now or so.  Senators have until then to object to Lewis's taking over sponsorship.

The legislation has enough votes to pass.  Senators shall have 24 hours to change their votes.

With 4 votes in favor, 2 against, 3 abstentions and 1 not voting, this legislation has passed.

It is presented to the President for his signature.

Because we just turned the act of getting your five-year-old child blitzed out of their f***ing mind from a horrendous form of neglect and child abuse to a state-sanctioned activity.

Pre-existing law allowed parents to give alcohol to children under 5.  This law created a cut-off.

I didn't even have anything to do with sponsoring this or the other alcohol bill.
