The fact that anyone actually enjoyed the Saw movies disturbs me.

Worrying about children accessing something, though?  No, not really. Excluding some forms of Hardcore Pornography

I agree; with one addition.

Actually I'm quite curious towards the "torture porn" thread. I would be disturbed in that so many people seem find watching people being tortured as entertaining. So clearly there is something wrong here. I don't believe it's "natural" (whatever that is) human reaction.

Okay BRTD I'll answer your question: Yes, I have been worried about violent media, etc (Though it's rarely violence - and sex which is the problem. Rather how they are portrayed is the issue.) and I suppose it reflects some not too ideal things about the current standard of society - (Look at the classic film noir's from the 50s - they are drenched with the moral hypocrisy, wag-the-doggery and Militant villigante conformism which represented the worst of that decade. And is often obvious.) But having a system of censorship is just open to abuse and agenda and has no place in a civilized society. The market is the problem, not the law. (or for that matter, the hack film makers, etc.)

Let it be known that I do enjoy knowing that my collection of violent movies pisses off people like you and Ralph Nader.

I don't give a fig. What you watch doesn't concern me - what does is the attitudes that create it. Big difference.
