Never, nor do I ever expect to have one.  Tongue

No one in real life knows just how hopeless I consider my prospects of finding a mate.  At the surface they think I am cheerful and optimistic, but deep down I am actually in utter despair.

You're starting to sound like WalterMitty.

You mean Supersoulty?  I have never heard Mitty being as dejected about his chances with the fairer sex.

Yes.

True, but I don't recall him starting threads bemoaning how hopeless his chances are with women, and how depressed he is as a result.

And I am pessimistic only with regard to women.  I am much more hopeful in other areas, like class mobility.

Has Supersoulty done that? I've never seen it.

Don't toss around terms like "future wife" like that.

That's all I'll say.

But she dumped you anyways. It's a good thing you didn't get married.

She'll be back. This is certainly not the first time she dumped me.

Yes, but it's been quite a while.

Anyway, there's 3 types of girls at MSU:
  • Christan conservatives
  • big time drinker/partiers
  • both

with the majority being in the 3rd type.  I keep thinking surely I'll run into someone who's neither, but no luck so far.

Well that's a totally different can of worms there, but for clarification purposes, I was only listing out types of white girls.
I could possibly date a black girl, but I haven't met many that I would consider.

Newsflash: Almost everyone at ALL colleges falls into one of the first two categories. That was true at mine too (though far more in the second and few in the third.)

Just go with one in the second. What's the problem?

I don't drink/party.  I'm pretty nerdy.  I have recently acknowledged the fact that I'm very similar to Steve Carrell's character in the 40-Year Old Virgin.

Are you a 40-year-old virgin?

Same for me except I wouldn't consider myself "nerdy." I have my own kind of fun and my friends who do drink and such accept it and enjoy it.

Yeah.  Well "nerdy" is a pretty subjective term.  I'd say you fall into my definition though.

I've had quite a few actually. The longest one, however, was about 6 months and that was in 8th/9th grade. I keep getting stuck with bitchy, overly-independent women with superiority complexes. The kind that if you make any sort of a display of affection, you're called "too clingy" and dumped.

" *waves* Hey hun".

Well, that must be a very loose definition since you don't know much about me off the forum (how I am with my friends, what activities I am involved in, etc).

Yes, of course.  Just going by your forum persona and facebook page.  I could be way off.

I get to play Seth Rogan's character....in pretty much everything he's ever done.
