Coming up in a minute or ten. I need to think this over.

Ah, what the heck. All in Delaware.

All reinforcements in Delaware.
Attack Pennsylvania, do or die. Attack New York with three dice four times. Await further orders.

Whaddaya mean, retire to Pennylvania. I said no such thing. Keep going at New York, then Connecticut. If I lose five or fewer units in that process (otherwise, wait for further orders), continue RI-MA-ME-NH-VT, ending the campaign if it becomes impossible to complete it (in which case, wait for further orders). If I conquer VT, transfer all remaining batallions to NY and end turn.

I attacked New York (on your behalf) four times.
Not a prob, "retire" just seems to imply that I can't keep attacking. Which is probably not what you meant.

Remind me to give my orders more peacemeal next time. I should have waited how Montana Wyoming goes and then decide on whether to go for Idaho or Utah. Aargh: STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! [bangs head against hard metal object]

Thanks Joe, I end my turn.

All in DE, attack MD-WV-VA. There's litle point to any tactical moves I might make, so whatever way this turns out, I end my turn right afterwards.

It's not my fault I'm attacking you, Sensei! You leave me no choice! Cheesy

Should Happy Warrior try for New Mexico?  It seems logical, but it strikes me that it just might provoke Fezzy enough to try to wipe the Red Army out next turn.  After all, with 4 Risk Cards, HW will be both a tempting target and a potential threat if he turns them in next turn and does a kamikaze strike.

If I were HW, I'd go for depriving Fezzy of the regional bonus, but it is (of course) up to him how much risk he wants to take.  After all, it's the name of the game.
After all, what does he have to lose?

Nice to see that my boys the Most Serene Republic of Arkansas are still in this!  Go neutral powers!

(This is not commentary.)
That's not white, that's ultraviolet. They'll turn purple when my turn is up.

If everybody has a set to turn in, why can't we?

That gives me six more for the set, plus two more on Maine, plus the original three, equaling 11, all to be put in Maine. Attack Massachusetts do or die, attack New York do or die. And curse the senseiite fezzy-enablers!

Certain posts have been deleted in accordance with the no-commentary policy.  I wasn't kidding about it, guys.

FTR, and I ask quite sincerely, is it really allowable for you to delete posts which are not in breach of the forum's rules? I appreciate your motivations (even though I disagree with them), but deleting the posts seems to me a rather arbitrary use of a power which wasn't given to be used for this reason.
The wildest thing is that he's even deleting commentary by the players themselves (ie, me). Next thing it'll be forbidden to send pm's about the game, too.

And yes, Joe, I actually am a little angry about that right now.

Fezzyfestoon [15] rolls 3 dice: 6 5 4
Neutral Army [4] rolls 2 dice: 6 5
Fezzyfestoon loses 2 battalions

Fezzyfestoon [13] rolls 3 dice: 5 2 1

Neutral Army loses 2 battalions

Fezzyfestoon [13] rolls 3 dice: 4 3 1
Neutral Army [2] rolls 2 dice: 6 5
Fezzyfestoon loses 2 battalions

Fezzyfestoon [11] rolls 3 dice: 6 2 1
Neutral Army [2] rolls 2 dice: 6 2
Fezzyfestoon loses 2 battalions

Fezzyfestoon [9] rolls 3 dice: 5 4 3
Neutral Army [2] rolls 2 dice: 6 1
Both armies lose 1 battalion each

Fezzyfestoon [8] rolls 3 dice: 3 2 1

Fezzyfestoon [7] rolls 3 dice: 3 3 2
Neutral Army [1] rolls 1 die: 3

Of course there were pacts there. I thought that was obvious. It's also obvious that it was an error to have pacts with you.
Sensei even got something out of them, arguably - second place. (Although even that was close.) Josh finally did what he should have done rounds earlier, but though it was by no means too little it was certainly too late. Especially without Sensei's support. Happy Warrior... (shakes head) Oh well. Happens when you play for the first time I suppose.

Oh well. I enjoyed it anyways. Smiley

One more thing I'd like to add... the only reason why I went to Delaware was because the west seemed so crowded and Gustaf seemed too left alone in the Northeast. If I'd guessed at Happy Warrior's playing prowess, I'd have gone west myself.
