Yes it's another one to enrage the neo-cons! No but seriously, we all know it will happen. So what do you think?

Oh yeah terror alerts help Bush! Never mind it tends to drag down the markets whenever they raise the level....

Can we get serious now please and stop these pointless conspriacy theories...

Well, this is to be expected, I guess, when they don't really have any issues to get at this President with. Dem convention must have really been that vapid.

Bush will get NO bounce from a terror alert.

Nothing ever sounded more like one then "Bush is raising the terror level to get a bounce"

Of course, safety is of the utmost importance, but the question is, is Bush milking it politically for all its worth?  Is Bush milking the fears of the populace in order to push other policies through?

McDermott?! This is the guy last year who, on a Fox news clip of a teleconference with some members of British Parliament, said Bush was actively "suppressing" public opinion. Damn, I wish I could find that transcript. McDermott is to be taken as seriously and as objectively as Michael Moore!

It is sad when partisan hatred gets put in front of reality... This goes for both sides at times but the Democrats are taking it to a new level.

The market's have spoken.  They feel safer under Bush (all three markets are now in the green following this mornings lows).

Yes, they are up today but I've noticed, and their could be data that suggests otherwise, that the markets seem to fall a bit when ever we announce one of these terror alerts but it does seem to recover the next day.

If not for 9/11 Bush would be screwed.  Sadly, he is seen as the default candidate to fight terrorism even amongst Democrats.

If it wasn't for 9/11, we'd be discussing 401(k)/Social Security reform, not terrorism or the economy.

I love Howard Dean.  I just love him.

He went on CNN and said that this thing was politically motivated.  Of course it was, but nobody else is going to say that!

Dean has the backbone of a lead pipe.  He would have been killed in the general, but he would have lost in style.

Ok, so let Ridge retract his warning, so we can blame any attack and deaths upon Dean and the Democratic party.  That way, it will be a sure win for Bush and possibly the end of the DNC for good.  Wink

Someone quoted McDermott?

Isn't he the guy that sponsored a bill to reinsate the draft, and then warned young voters Bush was going to bring back the draft?

Oh yeah Dean is real ballsy for accusing the President of manufacturing an alert to cancel out John Kerry's 2% bounce.  No wonder this fool wasn't nominated. He's almost as bad as Kucinich.
