Is there any interest in continuing this game and this story line?  If not, then I will write out the rest of it, if there is, then I'll make some rules changes here or there, notably, limiting the number of participants (to just 10 or so) and some other things we ran accross the first time, including, I think, makign it a bit more rapid fire, to keep interest going.

Might it be possible to play as a side (non-competitor character), to give players issues and events to react to?

I would consider adding that, sure.

Cardinal Cruijff might well be persuaded to return to the Sistine Chapel.
What type of rule changes are you considering?

He's been promoted.  Did you read my profile on Leo XIV?

As for the rules changes... I woudl first make the game less dependent on the players assisting to build coalitions for other players.  In the last game, I foolishly assumed that more players woudl stick with it once their guy didn't look like they were going to win... it slowed down the pace of the game quite a bit, I would figure out ways to tinker with that as well.  Also, the game would opperate off of a smaller timetable, to keep the action up, and I would streamline everythign a bit more.  Faction Leaders would play a more active role... I think I was too passive with them last time.  The key issues would be different and meatier, since things like human sexuality, human rights, preistly celebecy and other things are being openly discussed in the council... I think that will make things more interesting.  Since it has only been 6 years, most of the characters from the last one will carry over, but there will be some changes in staff, and how those people act.

I haven't thought of any exact changes yet, but I have a decent idea of where I want to go.

Also, (most) players will be given the option to continue play as their character.  You will also be allowed to create a new character, if you so choose (though your old character, if not retired, will be controled by "the House" so to speak).  Or, if you liked one of the House characters in the last one (such as Bertone or Tagola) then you can request to play as one of them.

Yep. I'd be interested in giving it another shot.

You mentioned Hume retired, is he in the house, or is he presumably waiting to take a dirt nap?

He'd be 77 now, so he would still be eligible to vote.  Acctually, he woudl probably be the Dean of the College... I'll have to see how that works.

Okay, I've read the epilogue now and am willing to forgive you now that you promoted Lumbayo. Wink I''d be willing to try again, even though I have to admit that the scenario seems very muc set-up for Jas this time around (not that he doesn't deserve ít, of course).

And the rule changes you're talking about seem like excellent ideas too.

Alright, so it looks like we have four people interested.  This might still be a bit in coming, since my scheduel is about to get busy, but I will work on setting it up.

I'll play, but only if theres a non candidate position that allows involvement given busy law school scheduling.
