As I understand it there are three types of poll published

1) Ordinary Snaphot Polls
2) Tracking Polls
3) Weighted Polls

Of these three types of poll, which has the best accuracy rating and in regard to general elections, when should I start tracking the generic polls? As soon as the candidates are formally announced at the party conventions or as soon as one candidate has a runaway lead in the delegates?
