South Carolina has nine certified parties which can inform the state no later than September 10 who they are running for President, August 15 for the other offices:
CONSTITUTION PARTY
DEMOCRATIC PARTY
GREEN PARTY
INDEPENDENCE PARTY
LABOR PARTY
LIBERTARIAN PARTY
REPUBLICAN PARTY
UNITED CITIZENS PARTY
WORKING FAMILIES PARTY

Petition candidates have until July 15 to file in 2008, new parties have until May 4.

Fusion is allowed in this state, so it is possible that even if all nine parties run candidates, there will be less than nine tickets.

I feel stupid asking this, but what's fusion in an election?

From the Atlas Wiki itself:
Fusion is the process by which votes cast for two or more ballot lines in an election are summed to form a single total for one candidate.

So for example, it is possible that Clinton could appear as the candidate for the Democratic and Working Families parties and benefit from those votes.  Single issue parties love fusion, which is probably why only seven states allow it.

Oh - I didn't even realize that that wiki was being worked on at all.
