I'm kind of wondering if Senator Bond thinks that waterboarding is that thing you do in a public pool where you pick up one of those near-rectangular sponge-ish-like things and then hold it out in front of you in the pool while kicking your legs to swim.

The question is, if waterboarding is such a harmless, humane technique, why do these conservatives then also say that it is an effective interrogation tactic?

My dad was waterboarded a few times while being hazed in college, he said it was horrific, the inescapable  sense of drowning and you kick your legs like a kid in a tantrum, sounds awful but I don't think I care if we do that to terrorists.

How about to people that the State claims for its own reasons 'is a terrorist'?  You're so trusting of your government.

Anyway, college hazing and waterboarding should be strictly banned, and Kit Bond is a terrible embarrassment - but also a perfect reflection of the hateful cruelty and inability to empathize that so typify the redneck culture of the state he represents.

I like him - I'm not voting for him (I will if he got the nomination), and we have our disagreements, so hero's kinda a strong word - but I like him.
