Not sure what period this poll was done over or what the sample was. We won't know until the numbers are officially released Wednesday...

Iowa:

Clinton 25%
Edwards 23%
Obama 22%

New Hampshire:

Clinton 37%
Obama 22%
Edwards 9%

Good to see that Iowa is still a 3-way race.

Yes. I would say the biggest news out of this is that Edwards is still alive in Iowa despite constant negative coverage from the media.

Edwards is popular in Iowa, and I'm expecting him to win it, in spite of the media or polls.

Here is the poll:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/11/13/opinion/polls/main3497993.shtml

IA
Clinton 25
Edwards 23
Obama 22
Richardson 12
Biden 4
everyone else at 1 or less

Romney 27
Huckabee 21
Giuliani 15
Thompson 9
Paul 4
McCain 4
everyone else at 3 or less

NH
Clinton 37
Obama 22
Edwards 9
Richardson 6
Kucinich 5
everyone else at 2 or less

Romney 34
McCain 16
Giuliani 16
Paul 8
Huckabee 6
Thompson 5
everyone else at 0

Huckabee has some serious mo' in Iowa.  Meanwhile, Giuliani seems to be faltering a bit in NH.  That would really be something if the frontrunner in the national polls (Giuliani) didn't even finish in the top two in either IA or NH.

Clinton and Romney?

Looks like there is a good chance I'll be voting Green next year...

So the big news bullets would be...

 - Huckabee is actually catching up to Romney in Iowa despite lacking serious money.

 - Iowa is still a very close three way race for the Dems and Edwards is still alive.

 - Richardson looks dead.

 - Romney is way ahead in NH and Paul is surging there.

Richardson is actually at 12% in IA.

You're right, I made a mistake.  Should have read:

Richardson 12
Biden 4

Anyway, there's nothing that remarkable about the results of this poll on the Dem. side.

On the GOP side, compared to other polls from this year (including from other pollsters):

-This is the best ever showing for Huckabee in IA
-This is the best ever showing for Paul in NH.
-This is the worst showing for Giuliani in NH since June.
-We've now had 4 consecutive NH polls with a Romney lead greater than 10 points.  First time that's happened.

The real good news about these polls:

Hillary Clinton still wins.

An important thing to note: The polling in Iowa for the Dems was done from Nov. 2nd - 11th.

The Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Iowa was late at night on the 10th so if Obama got any bump out of his well received speech or the coverage of it in the following days, this poll would not tell us that.
