A special election in Louisiana’s 1st District, soon to be vacated by Governor-elect Bobby Jindal (R), has been scheduled for early next year, CQ Politics reports. Primaries will be held on March 8 with the general election scheduled for May 3.

"The election is unlikely to produce any shift in the partisan balance of power in the House, as the heavily Republican district is strongly favored to stay in that party’s hands."

It would be intersting to see if Walter Boasso does enter the race. I believe he represents part of that district in the Senate. Either way, he'll fail hard.
