Tomorrow, Friday, November 16, 2007 is Oklahoma's 100th Birthday.  Our centennial has been in the planning stages since early 2006.  Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day as one of the greatest states in the country celebrates her 100th birthday!!

Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow, but you can bet when I get home late tomorrow evening, I will have my eyes glued to the Statehood Re-enactment from Guthrie (Oklahoma's first state capitol) that will have been recorded on my DVR from 9:00 am.

After us there are 4 more state centennials left to be celebrated (New Mexico and Arizona in 2012, and Alaska and Hawaii in 2059).

Given that it's still 1957 in most parts of Oklahoma, this centennial must come as quite a surprise.

This is an accurate statement.

You think Oklahoma is behind the times?Huh?

It is clearly 2007 almost 2008 in all 77 counties of this state.

Oh, I don't know about that; now it's not just the Native Americans who don't really want to go there.

(kidding, kidding)

100 years old and still going strong..

And remember, your number one objective is to stop Texas from engulfing Kansas.

Indeed not. I'd rate it as well under average on the US States' boringness scale.
Of course, I'm probably judging by a totally different measure than Ebowed. Smiley

Oklahoma is a horrible state that should be part of Texas to deny the GOP 2 EV(senators) and 2 senators.
