somewhere between strong Democrat and none-of-the-above.  closer to the latter.  but 'swing' would not be an accurate connotation, at all.

Lean Democrat. I don't really like them but I'm not voting for the joke GOP anytime soon.

I do have a reason for doing this, a potentially interesting one, but you'll have to answer first.

Yeah, I know there are no other poll options when there could be some, but that's intentional.

Please post (that's really the important part).  And no "between options."  Please just pick one.  Or I'll never love you again.  Thanks!

well, I voted in your poll, but I'm not feeling loved yet.  where's the love?

No one will love you until you stop touching yourself.  Don't you read your Bible?

I'd be a strong Democrat. That it is not to say that I wouldn't be at odds with many Democrats on certain issues, however

Lean Democrat.

One of the few things about our two party system here in the US that I like is that both of the major parties provide a rather large range of opinions within themselves. While hardly a common trait, it does mean that from time to time someone in either party can champion an individual view over the party line, which is why I look for independent thinkers over ideological ones. This is one reason I am independent. These can come from either party, but contemporarily I find a wider range of agreeable thought from the Democrats, especially on social issues.

Generally, I have voted more Republican than average for things downballot (like State Representative and every Republican candidate for U.S. Senate the NJ GOP has put up since turning 18), but tend to vote more Democratic for things up ballot, like President.

So what's you interesting reason?  Do we have enough votes yet to find out what it is?

He may just be the Yankee reversal of the Dixiecrat. I, on the other hand have considered "leaning republican", but I have been a strong democrat since I was 18, though I registered as a libertarian for a year because I was angry that there was no formidible democratic party. I do not believe that ideology is the answer on economic issues (I am pretty close to zero there), and have waffled from 3 to -3 there. But I have always been below -5 on social issues though I do go to church when I can (I really don't think I should have been in a condition to say that, btw). I have, however was strongly against gay rights until I was 18 and was reconsidering my stance on abortion then as well but I stopped reconsidering when I figured that there were no real alternatives in many situations and that personhood before viability was simply bizzare and counterproductive to societal advancements.

I just need Excel and I should be able to have it up.  This may turn out entirely uninteresting, in which case I won't bother explaining it, or it could be very cool.  It involves fantasy politics, kind of.

So far, it looks like 24-5-16 .... I would say that the vote on this forum on election day would be 27-18.... or exactly 60% to 40%.
