I would put him in the top half, around 20-25.  Domestically, he was weak, but he was much better on foreign policy than his son has been.

Why is there no bottom half option?

Yeah, that's about where I'd put him. Certainly terrible, and worse than most Presidents, but hardly as bad as his spawn.

George Herbert Walker Bush would be smack bang in the middle of Presidential rankings. He was an average President, but he was better then some others. I'm looking at you George Walker Bush, Warren Gamael Harding and James Buchanan.

If you look at the Presidents we've had since 1989, he is definitely the best one we've had, however we are judging him against 41 other presidents.

He's probably ranked right in the middle to slightly above. History will judge him rather well.

It's too soon to say for sure. It's hard for a one-termer to have as high a reputation as a two-termer, though in his case I'm pretty sure he'll wind up being ranked higher than his son (although certainly well below Clinton). I don't see any reason to rate him very highly, though.

Just average, but he loses some points for domestically being a failure. He was alot better than his demon spawn.

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted bottom 5.  I *meant* top half.  Please accept my apologies.  I didn't read carefully and thought we were voting on The Decider.

I could go with top half or bottom half, but people would have stronger feelings about him had be won re-election.

One such event that always comes to my mind when I think of Ronald Reagan, is the Challenger disaster in 1987.

The Challenger disaster occured on January 28, 1986. You should know this YOU are AMERICAN.

Give him a break this time. I can't remember that off the top of my head, and I'm also American.

Top half: not great on domestic policy, but one of the best foreign policy presidents we've ever had.
