What's the best current TL on the Election What-If's board?

The 6 nominees are as listed:

  • The American Monarchy by Lief
  • No Watergate by MikeyMike
  • Seward the Folly by HappyWarrior
  • Herbert Hoover elected in 1920 by Rocky
  • 1912 Onwards! by TommyC1776
  • The Presidency of Harold Stassen by Warner for Senate '08
  • Fluke of the Gods: Cox elected in 1920 by PBrunsel

I would have to say the American Monarchy by Lief, that is one of the best ever TL's on the forum. PBrunsel's and MikeyMike's are very good too and I feel quite biased saying mine is too, well it has gotten some good reviews Wink

So what's the Best current TL on the Election What If's Board?

American Monarchy, hands down. It should be expanded and published.

I like a lot about the American presidency and such. So I said 1912 and onwards.

I respect the writer like that, he has taken a lot of unnecessary criticism for his works. I think that they are good.

It's unplausible, but judging on your TLs I understand why you don't consider it such.

I gotta vote for myself! Wink

However I give thumbs up to all but one of them because it is poorly written.

Best TL of all time is J.J.'s (I think it's his) on Richard Nixon and the Watergate Trail.

Just wondering, why is 1912 and onwards! on there when my TL isn't? Sad

The best original idea is Leif's timeline. It is well written, presented in an entertaining way and always offers surprises.

However, all of the timelines listed are good in one way or another.

Rockefeller Republican offers a good, quick overview of the presidencies, focusing on the most important policies. That's a great way to present a story.

Tommy enjoys covering the elections, and who can blame him? American elections are (as Jas has once said) the greatest spectators sport in the country.

MikeyMike has lived through much of what he is presenting. I can notice a somewaht more personal way in his writing style. Also, making Kay Bailey Hutchinson (a favorite Senator of mine doesn't hurt either. Smiley

HappyWarrior always writes good stories. The pictures he includes help illustrate the stories well.

All in all, I'm glad that we have actual timelines going, and not just a bunch of polls like this board used to be.

Even though I voted for my own, my favorite is probably Rocky's.

The American Monarchy, no doubt about it. It is far superior to anything I've read on here in a long time.

I gotta say that mine isn't as good as Fluke of the God: Cox Elected in 1920.  His is a great TL.
