The attacks on Carol Shea-Porter are pure hypocrisy.  Republicans were the ones that used the federal government to try and target Democratic incumbents.

Hypocrisy or no, they're most definitely valid concerns.

What are these "concerns"? An incumbent Congresswoman uses taxpayers dollars to purchase a mailing list to better communicate with her constituents. Call Woodward & Bernstein, this scandal is Watergate times ten!

Some will cry financial impropriety because the money went into the NH Democratic Party's coffers, but if a political organization was the most comprehensive source for this information, I see nothing wrong with her actions.

that a-hole republican that wants to primary smith should be waterboarded.

And then there's Mary Starrett, who may be the worst candidate in the United States.

Why? I've actually met her at several candidate forums and found her to be quite affable. In terms of pure electoral performance, she did chop off about 3% of Ron Saxton's base in 2006, effectively forcing him to move back towards the right to recapture those voters. This move alienated Portland area surburbanites and ensured the Republican's defeat in the general.

For five years, we prayed:  "Where, Lord, is a pro-life vegetarian woman who can't hold a job and thinks George Bush planned 9/11?  Surely, Lord, she will inspire all the people of faith who ordinarily never vote!"  And Mary Starrett came upon us, and the glory of the Constitution Party shone round about us.  But even for a Constitution Party candidate, she still sucked.

Nice to see someone outside of Oregon is paying attention to one of our more colorful politicians.
