Suppose in 1992, Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas selects former Governor and incumbent Senator from the state of Florida Bob Graham to be his running mate.

In 1992, the Democratic ticket of Clinton/Graham easily encounters for the Republican ticket of Bush/Quayle and the Independent candidacy of Ross Perot. Some four years later, the Democratic ticket of Clinton/Graham is re-elected over the Republican ticket of Dole/Kemp and once again over the third party candidacy of Ross Perot.

In 2000, Vice President Bob Graham easily encounters for former Senator Bill Bradley of New Jersey in the battle for the 2000 Democratic Nomination. At the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles, Vice President Graham selects Governor of New Hampshire Jeanne Shaheen.

Whilst on the Republican side everything occurs the way it did in RL. With Governor George W. Bush of Texas winning the 2000 Republican Nomination and selecting former Congressman and Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney as his running mate.

How would the election turn out? Discuss with maps. Here's my thoughts on a possible Electoral Map for this scenario:

Bob Graham/Jeanne Shaheen (D): 296 EV
George W. Bush/Dick Cheney (R): 242 EV

Graham and Shaheen is a weak ticket.

Bush and Cheney smokes 'em.

Bush/Cheney                 323
Graham/Shaheen           215

He would. Don't know whether he plays a major part in Florida if Graham was the Democrats nominee though.

I'm just telling the truth.

I'm not asking you to like it.

Graham and Shaheen as a national ticket?  Get real.
